Installation Guide

NUTT Hydraulic Brake Calipers Step-by-Step Installation & Bleeding Guide

Required Tools

  • Hex wrench set
  • Brake bleed kit
  • Dedicated scooter mineral hydraulic oil
  • Clean rags
  • Protective gloves
  • Zip ties

Core Installation Steps

  1. Remove your original brake caliper, disconnect brake hose and motor cut-off wire.
  2. Mount your NUTT hydraulic caliper with included bolts, adjust position to center the brake rotor before fully tightening bolts.
  3. Connect brake hose with copper sealing washers to avoid oil leakage, fix hose neatly with zip ties, reconnect brake cut-off sensor.
  4. The most vital step: Bleed all air from the hydraulic circuit completely until outflow oil has no bubbles for firm braking power.
  5. Spin the wheel to check rotor rubbing, squeeze brake lever repeatedly, test ride slowly to verify stable braking performance.

Critical Mistakes To Avoid

Tightening caliper bolts before centering rotor → constant disc rubbing and fast pad wear

Missing copper washers on hose joints → hydraulic oil leakage

Incomplete air bleeding → soft brake lever and long stopping distance

Using DOT automotive oil instead of scooter mineral oil → permanent internal caliper damage
